Construction Accountant

Job Description
Aspire Staffing Group is partnering with our client to hire an experienced Construction Accountant working with a construction industry leader located within the greater Plymouth Meeting area. Responsibilities:
• Managing the preparation of monthly invoice packages for all billable projects, including all applicable backup
• Reviewing project budgets, including fee structures, staffing, and work plans
• Ensuring a smooth cash flow by auditing, generating, and sending invoices promptly
• Collaborating with the project manager to develop a detailed, cost-effective budget for the project
• Performing accounting duties throughout the project, such as preparing invoices, estimating cash flow, and signing off on purchase orders
• Preparing varying levels of financial statements and reporting
• Fixed Assets and depreciation, managing vehicle and equipment costs
• Analyzing all transactions and working unforeseen costs into the budget
• Keeping a record of all project finances for internal/external auditing and tax purposes
• Reporting any financial risks and budgetary discrepancies to management for review
• Researching market trends and projecting construction-related price increases/decreases
Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree
• 5+ years experience within construction or engineering (working with project managers)
• Advanced Excel including Pivot Tables, V-lookups, Formulas
• Preferred JD Edwards, Timberline, or ViewPoint experience
• NO NO NO NO NO QuickBooks
