Day to Day Overview:
Serve as back up to AR and AP as needed
Accounts Receivable
• Apply insurance payments into policy management system
• Research policies and detail payment history
• Review and return premium checks matching the policy requirements
• Reconciling bank accounts to make sure all payments hit accounts
• Deposit payments/checks as they are received
Accounts Payable
• Issuing check payments to vendors
• Verifying check payment forms
• Confirming invoices are correct and identifying discrepancies as needed
• 3 way matching of invoices
• 2 check runs weekly
• Handle about 70 invoices on a monthly basis
Assist Finance department in a myriad of other projects and initiatives as needed such as budgeting, forecasting, state/regulator presentations, audit requests, etc.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
• Associates’ or Bachelors’ degree in accounting preferred
• At least two years’ experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable
• Advanced in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, V-Lookups, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Must have strong organizational skills
• Tech savvy
• Ability to multi-task
