Accounting Manager

Day to Day Overview:
• Responsible for managing a team of 5 consisting of 1 payroll professional, 2 AP professionals, 2 AR professionals, Assistant Controller
• Responsible for balance sheet and income statement accounts evaluation and review
• Lead and complete month-end closing procedures and prepare financial reports
o Partake in 6 month review and year end audit
o Work with outside CPA firm
• Responsible for cash flow including forecasting cash flow for future periods and receivables from billing
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and job cost functions performed by accounting team
• Process W-2s, 1099s, and Local Business Tax returns
• Prepare detailed job costing reports including divisional P/L reports
• Serve as liaison with insurance, bonding, CPA, and other professional firms
• Responsible for overseeing IT
o Budgeting/Coordination with 3rd part with monthly meeting with providers including MSP provider, server environment, and SAGE 300 CRE
• Oversee all HR functions and ensure compliance, including annual benefits negotiations, 401k plan, FMLA, etc.
• Review weekly union payroll of 200+ employees (Union experience preferred) with payroll staff
• Oversee monthly AIA billings and work with Project Managers to adhere to project cash flow requirements
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or equivalent experience
• 3+ years with Construction accounting experience
• 3+ Years in a similar role
• Strong background in ERP systems such as Sage, Timberline, MS Dynamics or similar
