Accounting Manager

Job Description
Aspire Staffing Group is assisting our client, a prestigious non-profit company in Philadelphia, PA in seeking an Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the monthly close of the company’s books. Under the supervision of the Controller, this candidate will review and analyze monthly data to prepare invoices and accrue revenue and expenses. The candidate will need strong general ledger skills and the ability to analyze accounts as well as experience in budgeting and forecasting. This position is in the office 5 days a week.

Pay Rate:
$80,000 - $85,000 dependent on experience
Roles and Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statement reports
Prepare budgets and assist in the preparation of the corporate budget.
Prepare quarterly wrap reports.
Prepare and reconcile monthly, quarterly and annual billing reports and invoices.
Analyze quarterly all grant funding to ensure spend down and expenses are in accordance with grant agreements.
Prepare actual expenses vs. approved budget reports for directors with narrative explanations of variances.
Prepare and record revenue and expense accrual journal entries.
Provide data to outside consultants to prepare the company cost reports.
Prepare the financial section for the annual UDS report.
Prepare Federal Financial Reports (FFRs) for all federal grants.
Provide advice and financial technical assistance to program staff.
Oversee the reconciliation of various general ledger accounts monthly.
Review, research and resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
Oversees maintenance of account files, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting.
• Proficiency with electronic data reporting and retrieval, electronic mail, and web-based applications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in using Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Jet Reports a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently and to organize and prioritize work.
• Knowledge of Medicare Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Cost Reports a plus.
• Experience with Cost Allocation systems (ability to allocate costs over multiple programs).
