Job Description
Our client, a chemical company in Malvern, PA, is looking for a Chemical Marketing Director to join the team! This role works cross-functionally and leads strategic marketing and product line management, as well as contributing to the business’ profitable growth.
The annual salary for this role is $150,000 - $180,000 and is 5 days on site.
How You’re a Great Fit (Education and Experience)
• At least 10 years of experience in the chemical, technical, pharmaceutical, medical device or electrical field
• Proven track record of successfully managing analytically rigorous corporate initiatives
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a technical field
• MBA strongly preferred
• You thrive in a dynamic environment with competing priorities
• Highly proficient in CRM, Excel, and related tools
• Have experience and tools to lead effectively in conditions of ambiguity
• Strong analytic skills, including the ability to analyze opportunities for improving financial drivers
The Day-to-Day (Job Duties and Responsibilities)
• Identify, develop, plan, and execute growth in existing and adjacent markets.
• Develop and support pipelines for strategic development
• Continually assess and understand competitive landscape
• Lead and manage new product portfolio, optimization of asset management, and product pricing
• Work across other functions (Sales, Tech Service, R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance) to support existing product line marketing, including the Integrated Business Management process
• Product SKU rationalization management
• Develop and drive “Go-to-market” strategy for new and existing products
• Support customer supply agreement management
• Implement the commercial strategies for the product portfolio, including product positioning, business plan development and portfolio optimization
• Manage product pricing and pricing process to maximize margins, i.e. pricing strategy, cost analysis and budget planning
• Support sales and business development managers with product pricing, communication of value proposition, market intelligence, customer segmentation, contract negotiations and forecasting
• Work closely with operations, supply chain and quality to ensure supply reliability and product compliance to specifications and regulations.
• Implement the marketing strategy to promote products, services and brands to generate new business leads and opportunities
• Lead marketing initiatives and analyze target markets potential, trends and unmet needs in support of business growth strategy and investment plans
• Manage marketing campaigns and activities including product promotion and literature, branding, content development, trade shows as well as customer events and innovation seminars in collaboration with R&D, Sales, and business development managers.
Interview process
After a screening phone call with our recruiter, you will meet with the company’s hiring manager for a virtual 1st interview, followed by a 2nd interview on site with a panel of the company’s Leadership Team.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration
- Strong Excel Skills a must
- 10 Years experience in Marketing, Sales or Business Management with a chemical company or related industry.
