Manager of Accounting

Perks, Pay, & Benefits:
• Pay range of $75 to $85K per year

Responsibilities:
• Prepare monthly sales tax returns and oversee compliance with state sales tax laws.
• Continually train, mentor, develop, motivate, challenge, and support staff and ensure appropriate distribution of work.
• Manage staff through frequent one-on-one meetings and annual performance reviews.
• Coordinate department tasks and ensure timely completion.
• Assist Reporting and Analysis Manager and Chief Financial Officer with periodic audits, business reporting, and other special projects.
• Assist/support accounting department staff with other needs when necessary.
• Promote teamwork and customer service mentality
Job Requirements
Requirements:
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel at a minimum.
• 3 to 5-plus years’ experience in relevant GAAP accounting work.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 2 to 3-plus years’ supervisory/managerial experience
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels of staff and management as well as with outside parties (e.g., brokers, auditors, bankers, etc.) and all types of personalities.
