Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Preparation of month-end closing journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations
• Payroll fundings and journal entries
• Financial statement preparation
• Financial statement analysis
• Variance analysis
• Consistent and professional reporting to Management and investors
• Participation in annual budgeting process
• Involved in cash management activities from projections and forecasting
• Preparation of schedules and analyses for year-end financial statements for tax consultants and external auditors
• Have strong understanding of PMS systems (i.e. Maestro, Oscar) and ensure financial integrity and reporting is maintained
• Close interaction with property management and operations team
• Ability to develop goals, establish priorities and meet deadlines

Qualifications:
• BS in Accounting
• 4-8 years of relevant industry or public accounting experience
• Excel power user (V lookups, Pivot Tables, Formulas etc.)
• Worked with Yardi and Concur
• Thorough understanding of GAAP and tax basis of accounting
• Enthusiastic attitude, flexibility and willingness to undertake a variety of special projects and new responsibilities
