Staff Accountant

Day to Day Responsibilities:
Staff Accountant
• Prepares and posts general journal entries, research variances as needed
• Assist with financial reporting such as P&L, Income Statement, Balance Sheet
• Reconcile the GL, balance sheet and income statements as needed
• Complete bank account reconciliations as needed
• Assist in month and year end closes
• Reconcile 3rd party payroll entries to the payroll register to validate allocations and budget
• Prepares grants/contracts billing and assists with billing inquiries
• Prepares and analyzes monthly variance reports for internal management reporting
• Prepares monthly expense allocations and enters in general ledger
• Prepares and provides account reconciliations for compliance and annual audits schedules
• Assist with year end audit compiling schedules for external auditors
Job Requirements
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field
• 3+ years’ experience
• Non-Profit accounting experience a huge plus
• Must have a strong general ledger accounting background
• Must have 2+ years working with an Accounting ERP system
• Must be a strong Excel user
