Job Description

Aspire Staffing Group is seeking a Tax Associate for a dynamic and growing CPA firm in Philadelphia, PA. This role involves preparing and reviewing various tax returns, assisting with tax planning and research, and supporting senior tax professionals. The ideal candidate will work with a variety of clients, including individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profits, enhancing their knowledge and skills in taxation.

Day To Day Responsibilities:

  • Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profit organizations.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax provisions and other tax-related financial reporting.
  • Conduct tax research and stay current on tax laws and regulations.
  • Identify tax-saving opportunities and potential tax risks for clients.
  • Collaborate with senior tax professionals to develop tax strategies and plans.
  • Respond to client inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist with IRS and state tax audits, including gathering documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Maintain organized and accurate tax files and documentation.
  • Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
  • 1-3 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm or related environment.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
