Job Description

Aspire Staffing Group is seeking a Tax Manager for a dynamic and growing CPA firm in Philadelphia, PA. This role involves overseeing the preparation and review of various tax returns, leading tax planning and research initiatives, and managing a team of tax professionals. The ideal candidate will work with a diverse client base, including individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profits, enhancing their leadership and expertise in taxation.

Day To Day Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profit organizations.
  • Lead the preparation of tax provisions and other tax-related financial reporting.
  • Conduct and supervise tax research, staying current on tax laws and regulations.
  • Identify tax-saving opportunities and potential tax risks for clients.
  • Develop and implement effective tax strategies and plans.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of tax professionals.
  • Respond to complex client inquiries and provide exceptional client service.
  • Manage IRS and state tax audits, including gathering documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Ensure accurate and organized maintenance of tax files and documentation.
  • Participate in and lead professional development and continuing education opportunities.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA required.
  • 5-7 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm or related environment.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
